Great song, but definitely an effort to duplicate the Classic VH formula. An imitation. Like all of the popular 80’s rock/pop material.

I know Van Halen and Y&T get lumps in the 80's LA glam hair metal category. But I don't consider them in that group. I always picture them more like 70's LA hard rock groups who hit their peaks in that era.
I like Y&T cus they had a fat guy in the band who looked like Artie Lang.
Y&T Were at the Day On The Green in 1985 with the Scorpions, Metallica, and Yngvie Malmsteen. Bitchin concert but I hadn't heard of this group. By nights end, I loved them!

This song & video was a belated turning point for Y&T who had not been able to break wide open notwithstanding some kick ass albums including black tiger and mean streak. A&M should’ve pushed a 2nd single from “down for the count” and made Y&T HUGE! Importantly this band is still touting & is highly respected among the musical Peers.
