Tony Powers--I am just hearing this for the first time and I love it! I love SO MANY of the obscure girl group songs!
First heard this as part of the 10 CD set "the girl group sound". It took a while but I finally got the 45. YES!
The whole song , the lyrics, arrangement, production all sounds great!!! tony Powers, you did a great job on this!
I thought I had all of her recordings but checking now and I'm missing the other side of this record. Could you please post it?

Ellie's demo of 'Happy Anniversary' was included on a two CD set of unreleased Ellie Greenwich demos and rarities from a few years back. Don't think it was a legit package. From someplace in Europe I imagine but stuffed full of some nice things.

The melody of this tune with the slick Nitzsche arrangement makes it absolutely timeless. Ellie's demo version is so similar and perfect as to be expected from her. I am surprised that her demo wasn't put out a a single on it's own.
When I see 'Tony Powers' on a record label I can be assured that quality lies within the grooves.

For years, only ever knew Do It by Pat (possibly my favourite sound - EVER!) till about 13 year ago when i found Together Forever and it was only recently i found out through Youtube she has more and what a good artiste she actually was. Not a top artist but should have been. RIP Pat, tops in my books.
Michelle Torr had made the french version "bon anniversaire".

Pat Powdrill never made a bad record in my opinion,but i think this is her best.
In my opinion This was their best record. the flip is pretty good too.
