Review by C. Hernandez

The 'Ohana Serenaders have released a new album titled Ku Like Makou I Hookahi, and it is a delightful collection of Hawaiian music. The album features traditional Hawaiian songs, as well as original compositions by the band members. The music is performed with skill and passion, and the harmonies are tight and beautiful. The instrumentation is also impressive, with ukuleles, guitars, bass, and percussion creating a rich and textured sound. The album has a joyful and uplifting vibe that will make listeners feel like they are in the midst of a Hawaiian luau. Fans of Hawaiian music and anyone looking for a fun and upbeat album will enjoy Ku Like Makou I Hookahi. the 'Ohana Serenaders have created a wonderful tribute to the music and culture of Hawaii.

Notes

The first album by The 'Ohana Serenaders. Singers Rhoda Kekona and Trudie Kamelamela are the sisters of Ledward and Nedward Ka'apana, and the daughters of Tina Ka'apana.

About The 'Ohana Serenaders

The 'Ohana Serenaders consisted of Matthew Kamelamela, his wife at the time Trudy Kaapana Kamelamela (sister of Ledward and Nedward Kaapana), their daughter Mattlyn Kawohikukapulani Kamelamela, Rhoda Kaapana Kekona (also a sister of the Kaapana twins) and others whose names I don't know. Their signature song was "Kalapana, Hawaii," a song which is still widely performed and played in Hawaii.
