The Gerry Mulligan Combo's album "I Want To" is a delightful jazz experience that is sure to captivate any listener. The album features Mulligan's signature baritone saxophone sound, which is complemented by a talented group of musicians who create a smooth and sophisticated sound.

The album's opening track, "I Want To," sets the tone with its upbeat melody and lively rhythm. Mulligan's saxophone playing is showcased in "My Funny Valentine," where he delivers a soulful and emotive performance. The album also features a number of playful and upbeat tracks, such as "Limelight" and "That Old Feeling," which showcase the band's versatility and ability to create a range of moods.

The highlight of the album is undoubtedly the track "Night Lights," which features Mulligan's haunting saxophone playing against a backdrop of lush strings. The result is a beautifully melancholic piece that is both powerful and moving.

I'm stunned to discover this on You Tube. You know, about 15 years ago I looked everywhere for the "I Want to Live" soundtrack -- I caught it on cable and the jazz cuts were outstanding -- but I couldn't find it anywhere, except as a Japanese import costing umpteen thousand dollars. Anyway, thanks for posting -- I've gotta find a copy of this!
