Lonely is the second album by the Australian alternative rock band Frente!, released in 1996. The album features a mix of acoustic and electric instrumentation, and showcases the distinctive vocals of lead singer Angie Hart.

The album opens with the melancholic yet beautiful "Bizarre Love Triangle", which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The haunting "Goodbye Goodguy" and the upbeat "No Time" are other standout tracks that showcase the band's versatility.

One of the biggest strengths of Lonely is the way it captures the feeling of isolation and loneliness, with many of the songs exploring themes of heartbreak and loss. However, there is also a sense of hope and resilience that runs throughout the album, particularly on tracks like "Sit On My Hands" and "Labour of Love".

About Frente!

Pop rock band from Melbourne, Australia Formed in 1989 Frente had a string of hit singles in the early 90s - Ordinary Angels, Accidentally Kelly Street, Labour of Love and their beautiful acoustic take on New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle. They also enjoyed considerable success with their debut, Marvin the album, selling a million copies around the world, and their follow-up, Shape, a sophisticated mesh of acoustics, technology and wonderful song writing. Along the way the band toured extensively around Australia and the world, hand picked to play with the likes of Alanis Morissette, the Beautiful South and Everything But The Girl. In 2004 Simon and Angie with some well received shows in Los Angeles and New York. Angie and Simon were joined by Bill McDonald and Pete Luscombe to play a sell out tour of Australia in early 2005. Simon is based in New York - including production and very complicated sonic logistics, Angie has returned to her hometown of Melbourne after ten years away and has released her first solo album, Grounded Bird.
