The Bus Station Loonies - Midget Gems

Review by Stacey McDonald

The album Midget Gems by Bus Station Loonies is a wild ride of punk rock energy and irreverent humor. From the opening track "Punk Rock Ambulance" to the closing anthem "We Are the Loonies," the band delivers a non-stop barrage of catchy riffs, snarling vocals, and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that are sure to get listeners bouncing and singing along.

Standout tracks include "Giro Day," a scathing critique of the UK's welfare system, and "Punk Rock Saved My Life," a joyous celebration of the power of music to inspire and unite. The band's irreverent sense of humor is on full display in tracks like "I Wanna Be a Chav" and "Allergic to Work," which poke fun at societal norms and expectations.
