Review by liza gutium

Bud Freeman and Buddy Tate's album, "Bud Meets Buddy," is a jazz lover's dream come true. The album showcases the talents of two of the most iconic saxophonists of the 20th century, each with their unique style and approach to the genre. The album features a mix of original compositions and jazz standards, all expertly arranged and performed by Freeman and Tate.

From the opening notes of "Blues in My Heart" to the closing bars of "Stardust," the album is a joyous celebration of jazz music. Freeman and Tate's saxophones intertwine and dance around each other, creating a rich and complex sound that is at once familiar and fresh.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Sweet Georgia Brown," which features Freeman's soulful tenor saxophone playing and Tate's smooth and melodic alto sax. The two saxophonists play off each other, trading solos and riffs, creating an exciting and dynamic listening experience.
