About Guðbergur Auðunsson

Guðbergur Auðunsson (Born. 1942) was one of the first rock singers in Icelandic popular song history, he was not in rock for long, became one of the leading advertising artists in the country and later turned to art and other arts so his art career spans diversity. Guðbergur was born in Hveragerði in 1942 but was raised in Reykjavík, he went to the district school in Núpi in Dýrafjörður and there he took his first rock steps, singing with an unnamed band in the winter of 1957-58 or around the time the rock arrived in Iceland.
