Sh...ear delight!!!
I love the complexity of his music. There are several audio mods that are awea. He Metheny and Scofield
are my favorites. I have a wide range of genres. Tool is my current fave.

well, it's kinda TRIPPY :)
brilliant
@crantonphos Listen to Naked City's 'Radio' if you want an easy starter!
@iwanttowatchsomethin Nefertiti was released in '68 and you can hear a lot of that in this song. More importantly though I think Frisell is trying to capture the spirit of the era - student movements and social uprisings around the world, the DNC in Chicago, the heyday of the counterculture. '68 was a pretty hip year.
Well, this does sound a bit like In A Silent Way...
μεγάλος τζαζίστας!
Fantastic B. Frisell & group. Thank you.
You're missing the subtle contours of the melody, soaring above the ethereal backdrop of Frisell's guitar.
Listen to the melody as a jazz listener, and you hear a beautiful melody that could be to a standard, given the proper accompaniment and chords beneath. Instead Frisell flips it on its head, and employs a groove background for his melody.

the 2004 Nonesuch release 'Unspeakable'
Thanks, I might check it out.
Haha! so true
On what album can I find this constellation and this song?
This is the sound i like that Bill plays... some of the other stuff is kinda country .......not for me but this is!
Glad Bill is getting away from the Americana bag he was in for too long. Now if he could just remember that it's OK for a song to have some changes . . .
