Nightfall's latest album, Phase One, showcases the Greek metal band's impressive musicianship and songwriting skills. The 10-track album is a blend of melodic death metal, gothic metal, and symphonic metal, with each song offering a unique listening experience.
The album kicks off with the explosive "The Calling," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its heavy riffs, intricate drumming, and haunting vocals. "At Night We Prey" and "Witches" are standout tracks that showcase Nightfall's ability to seamlessly blend different genres of metal into one cohesive sound.
"Giants of Anger" and "Thanatos" are two of the heaviest tracks on the album, with crushing guitar riffs and thunderous drumming that will leave listeners headbanging along. On the other hand, "Martyrs of the Cult of the Dead (Agita)" and "Akhenaton" showcase Nightfall's more melodic side, with soaring vocals and beautiful guitar melodies.
