About 梶光夫

A Japanese singer, actor born in Osaka on September 9, 1944. Currently he is internationally known and active as a leading jewelry designer in Japan. His parents home is a jeweler, he is the eldest son. His father opposed entering the entertainment industry with the thought that wanted him to succeed his family business. He promised to quit the singer in five years. He kept the promise and retired from the singer in 1970 when he was most popular. He is currently active as a jewelry designer and gem appraiser as he succeeded in his family business, but in the later years he has resumed singer activity limited to the extent that does not interfere with his core business.
