Naturally crossing over from any one genre of music to another due to her phenomenal pianistic and vocal gift and because melody is really YOUNEE's first language. Talking of languages, she now lives in Germany and her German is already almost as good as her English.
YOUNEE would not be YOUNEE if her constant search for artistic challenge would not have taken her back to her musical roots of classical music and the great masters. Her new album ‚Jugendstil’, recorded at the famous ‘Emil Berliner Studio’ in Berlin, is a brilliant mixture of classical, jazz and pop influences, a piano journey blending those different worlds of music in a fascinating way: The way she treats her classics from Rachmaninoff, Dvorak, Bach, Beethoven to Mussorgsky is truly unique.
Inspiriert von der Philosophie des Jugendstils, des Art Nouveau in Architektur, Kunst, Musik und der künstlerischen Lebenshaltung der 1890er, hat YOUNEE den Wunsch, die essentielle Schönheit der verschiedenen Musikstile miteinander zu verbinden und daraus ihren eigenen Stil zu kreieren, um dem modernen Lebensgefühl der Menschen von heute näher zu kommen.
Sie hat berühmte Werke der klassischen Musik einfühlsam auf ihre ureigenste Weise nachempfunden, interpretiert und mit ihren beeindruckenden Improvisationen bewiesen, wie modern klassische Musik auch heute noch klingen kann, ohne dass dabei die Schönheit der ursprünglichen Kunst verloren geht.
