Warren Zevon - Reconsider Me Factory

Review by Tuah Ersada

Reconsider Me Factory, the latest album by Warren Zevon, is a masterpiece of introspective songwriting and raw, unfiltered emotion. From the haunting opening track "Dirty Life and Times" to the moving closer "El Amor de Mi Vida," Zevon takes listeners on a journey through the highs and lows of love, loss, and redemption.

Throughout the album, Zevon's gravelly voice and evocative lyrics are complemented by a rich, layered sound that blends rock, blues, and folk influences. The arrangements are masterfully crafted, with each instrument adding its own distinct flavor to the mix.

One standout track is "Disorder in the House," a collaboration with Bruce Springsteen that showcases Zevon's talent for crafting catchy, memorable hooks. The song is a rollicking, foot-stomping ode to chaos and disorder, with Zevon and Springsteen trading verses and harmonizing on the chorus.

Another highlight is "She's Too Good for Me," a wistful ballad that showcases Zevon's vulnerability and self-deprecating humor. The song is a poignant reflection on the pain of losing someone you love, and Zevon's delivery is raw and heartfelt.

A long lost Diamond from back then ❤

He must have offered this song to Stevie Nicks. I just read an interview where she said she refused to sing this song because she would never be the kind of woman that’s that desperate & would never sing a song she didn’t love.

Why not the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame. Mabye the same reason Hank Williams got fired from the Grand Ole Opry. Accidentally like a Martyr, that's why Zevon's not in there. What would they do, bring up a cardboard cut-out of him like the Dead did with Garcia so Zevon (and Garcia for that matter) could stand proudly beside the likes of Bon Jovi and Kiss? If Hunter was still alive they could get him to do the introduction, he would have had a field day with that. Then maybe license Werewolves of London to sell vodka, oh bummer, they already did that. Well, at least it wasn't a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial. Maybe when they make the movie.

An absolutely gorgeous ballad, love Warren's music so much, he was an under appreciated genius. Why is he not in the r&r hall of fame yet?

Warren was a brilliant songwriter/singer/ and musician. This song was one of many personal favorites of mine.  Roland & Rosalita were way up there too.  Thanks for uploading this song.
