After leaving in 1967, forms the acoustic duo Tyrannosaurus Rex with percussionist . The duo signs a recording deal with producer , for release on EMI's label. Following a poorly received US tour, Steve Took leaves and is replaced by .
After a while Tony Visconti shifts label outlet for his productions from Regal Zonophone to in UK. After much urging from his producer, Marc Bolan abbreviates his group name to and expands to a quartet with the addition of on bass and on drums.

This is one of my fave songs, its reminds me of Autumn days when you start lighting the fire & wait for your love to come home! I'm surprised there aren't more views of this song.
A "lost" Rex classic, imho. Ta HEAPS 4 sharing this Fee, as long ago I lost the rare compilation LP I owned that had this great track on it when half my vinyl collection was stolen - bah. So, am happy now! :-D

Oh such a nice oldie!
I recall Marc getting a rough reception from disgruntled hippies at the Wheeley festival in 1971- they thought he'd "sold out". He did a 90 minute acoustic set, got the crowd eating out of his hand and then did a fabulous rock set. Miss you Marc & Steve.

Fabulous pictures - and what a tune! As much as I'm a fan of T. Rex, I can understand why some people felt that Marc left a lot of his fans behind when he became a glam rock star. The four Tyrannosaurus Rex albums were truly in a world of their own - never to be repeated.
The best Tyrannosaurus Rex tune, hands down. So massive!
Probably the origin of glam AND art rock...
