Arguably the best album she did in her career. What makes this album awesome is how she returned to her funk roots, however, not only it's an funk album, she does Pop (Surrealistic Pillow, Work It) Hip Hop (Call Me I Got Your Number with her mentor Rick James as they did a rap in the song ) even Freestyle (Trick Bag, Ooh La La, The Ball) and the album highlight is the duet with Rick James on the ballad The Once And The Future Dream which is nearly 8 minutes long. Big improvement on the critical and commercial failure of Emerald City.
This song was released before I was born but I like it. 2022 strong ??
