Review by Trevor Thienhardt

Ted Heath and His Music have done a remarkable job with their album Richard Rogers Hits. The album features a collection of some of the best works of the legendary composer Richard Rogers. The music is arranged in a flawless manner, which makes it a joy to listen to. The orchestra's interpretation of the songs is nothing short of perfection. The album is a beautiful tribute to the great composer.

The album features a variety of songs, including "My Favorite Things," "The Sound of Music," "I Whistle a Happy Tune," and "You'll Never Walk Alone." The songs are all classics and have been performed by many artists over the years. However, Ted Heath and His Music have managed to add their unique touch to the songs, making them sound fresh and new.

The album is beautifully recorded and mixed. The sound quality is top-notch, and every instrument is well-balanced. The orchestra's performance is superb, and the musicianship is exemplary. The album is a testament to the talent and dedication of Ted Heath and his band.

I saw the band many times for which I am very thankful.

It's all very fine, however I've always felt something was missing in Heath's groups. And I don't mean "sweet vs. hot". It's a feel/swing time relationship thing that is hard to quantify objectively. I'm gonna go check out Lawrence Welk now.

Don Lusher one of the greatist trombonists of all time on either side of the Atlantic!

This band had some masterly musicians,Pratt,Ezzard,Blair,Campbell,Gilbert,Lusher etc etc.The trumpet section of the late 50s was arguably the finest on either side of the Atlantic.

A wonderful album. A shame the muted trumpets sound like screeching birds on occasion, due to the recording level being too high. Otherwise, as with Ted's other recordings, simply maaaavelous...
