The Pogues' album "Haunted" is a hauntingly beautiful collection of songs that showcases the band's unique blend of punk, folk, and traditional Irish music. From the opening track "Once Upon a Time" to the closing ballad "Lorelei," the album takes listeners on an emotional journey through themes of love, loss, and redemption.

Shane MacGowan's gravelly vocals are as raw and powerful as ever, while the band's instrumentation - including fiddles, accordions, and tin whistles - adds a rich and textured layer to each song. Standout tracks include the bittersweet "A Rainy Night in Soho" and the rollicking "Ghosts of a Thousand Years."

Nancy was allegedly killed by her dealer so the tale goes. Sid & Nancy was a tragic love story . I can see why Shane was inspired by their deaths to write this beautiful song and then Cait to sing her heart out to make it that special.

“Taxi to Heaven” is the song at the end of Sid & Nancy. Always makes me fucking cry. This version of “Haunted” is the best.
