Oblivionation - Oblivionation

Review by Olav Dias

Oblivionation's self-titled album, Oblivionation, is a powerful and intense display of metalcore mastery. The band's sound is characterized by heavy riffs, pounding drums, and aggressive vocals that create a dark and ominous atmosphere. The album's production is top-notch, with each instrument and vocal track perfectly balanced to create a cohesive and powerful sound.

The opening track, "Inferno," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its blistering guitar riffs and driving rhythm section. The vocals are raw and visceral, perfectly capturing the intensity of the music. The album doesn't let up from there, with tracks like "Wasteland" and "Desolate" showcasing the band's ability to combine brutal breakdowns with melodic guitar work.

One standout track is "The Void," which features a haunting piano intro before exploding into a full-on assault of heavy guitars and pounding drums. The song's chorus is particularly memorable, with its soaring melody and anthemic lyrics.
