Review by Mychial Emmanuel

Honaloochie Boogie Rose, the 1971 album by Mott The Hoople, is a classic rock masterpiece that showcases the band's eclectic sound and raw energy. The album features some of the band's most popular songs, including "All the Young Dudes" and "Honaloochie Boogie."

The album's title track, "Honaloochie Boogie," is a standout with its catchy guitar riffs and infectious beat. The song's lyrics are playful and irreverent, perfectly capturing the band's rebellious spirit.

"All the Young Dudes," which was written by David Bowie, is another highlight of the album. The song's iconic opening riff and memorable chorus are instantly recognizable, and its message of youthful rebellion and defiance still resonates today.

Other standout tracks on the album include "Jerkin' Crocus," "One of the Boys," and "Sucker," which showcase the band's ability to seamlessly blend rock, blues, and glam influences.

That is some tremendous guitar work there with the tremolo and the volume fade-ins.

What a great ballad. Ian Hunter was masterful, also loved Seadiver. But what a range Mott the Hoople and Ian Hunter has.

Always one of my favorites. Should be San Francisco's anthem when you see the streets nowadays.

Mott the Hoople was the best band in the early 70's long live Ian Hunter hall of fame is a bad joke with him not in it!

Beautiful song by a wonderful band. Great photos too. They played this last Friday in London and it was superbly moving.

I love Mott The Hoople - an amazing band. Best band on Gods Earth and don't you for get it! Well, I remember my mum shouting upstairs on the top of her voice to turn the bloody noise down - I was playing Honaloochie Boogie at full blast and so I comprimised, by turning the record over to play Rose - an amazing song. Am still listening to it even today. Sure am like you - love the music. Sad day today as I hear of the news of Dale Griffin passing. Rest in Peace Buffin

Great record, still got it somewhere! I always thought I was singing the wrong words in the part about 'shirt shine', but it seems I was right all along!
