Review by Ronald de Bruijn

Moondust The Bogey Man is an album that has been receiving critical acclaim for its unique sound and haunting melodies. The Moontrekkers have created a sound that is both eerie and captivating, drawing listeners in with each track. The album features a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks, with each one showcasing the band's versatility and creativity.

The title track, "Moondust The Bogey Man," is a standout on the album, with its driving rhythm and haunting guitar riffs. The vocals on this track are particularly effective, adding to the overall sense of unease and tension. Other tracks, such as "Night of the Vampire" and "The Bogey Man," continue this theme, with their dark and foreboding melodies.

One of the strengths of this album is the band's ability to create an atmosphere that is both unsettling and alluring. The use of reverb and echo effects adds to the overall mood of the album, creating a sense of otherworldliness that is both intriguing and unsettling.

Obviously Ash Vs. Evil Dead's music composer JOE LoDUCA is a fan of this song.

the guitar solo is the best part of the tune and sounds ghostly . I think Joe would have done a better production of the tune .Not a patch on Night of the Vampire imo .

Family friend and a good mate is Gary LePort who wrote the track and played the guitar in 'The Night of the Vampires' with Joe Meek doing the screaming at the end of the track, Rod Stuart who was 16 played the Harmonica in the group. Gary told me when they were supporting the Rolling Stones on tour Rod used to do the sound check and started singing with his unique voice behind the curtain down the mic, Gary said the curtain started being ruffled furiously as someone was trying to see who was singing and a head popped through the gap and a voice shouted 'WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT?' lol
