Manowar's Battle Hymns Demo 1981 is a powerful and raw display of the band's early sound. The album features six tracks that showcase the band's signature heavy metal sound that would later become synonymous with their name.

The opening track, "Death Tone," sets the tone for the album with its thunderous drums and scorching guitar riffs. The title track, "Battle Hymns," is an epic piece that features Eric Adams' soaring vocals and Ross the Boss' blistering guitar work.

Other standout tracks include "Manowar," which features an infectious chorus that is sure to get fans chanting along, and "Dark Avenger," which features narration by Orson Welles.

Always preferred the demo of this and Battle Hymn to the proper releases. You can actually hear the power of the bass on this version, the guitars are simpler, and the vocals have more feeling.
