Luna Halo - EP

Review by Yves Twerdick

EP by Luna Halo is a stunning album that showcases the band's exceptional musicianship and songwriting skills. From start to finish, the EP is a rollercoaster of emotions that takes the listener on a journey of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

The opening track, "Kings & Queens," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its haunting melody and powerful lyrics. The song perfectly captures the feeling of being lost and searching for something more, and it's a theme that resonates throughout the rest of the EP.

Other standout tracks include "Unforgivable" and "Waves," both of which showcase the band's ability to craft catchy hooks and memorable melodies. The guitar work on these tracks is particularly impressive, with each riff and solo perfectly complementing the song's overall vibe.

About Luna Halo

Luna Halo started out in the CCM market. The band was founded by frontman Nathan Barlowe and Jonny MacIntosh (both of fame), with Jonathan Smith, later joined by Brad Minor. They had some success in the CCM market with their debut album Shimmer in 2000. During and after touring Shimmer the band changed members several times and found stable membership again in 2002 with Nathan Barlowe, his brother Cary Barlowe, Aaron Jenkins and Chris Coleman. They moved away from the CCM scene, went mainstream and released a couple of EPs. In 2007 they finally released their sophomore (and last) album. In 2010 their final single was released in digital format only. A collection of demos and b-sides was released in 2012 to coincide with their final performance.
