Review by Maruf Rahman

Los Texmaniacs, the Grammy award-winning band from San Antonio, Texas, has released another stellar album titled "Borders Y Bailes." The album is a perfect blend of traditional Tex-Mex music with a modern twist. The band's unique sound is a result of their talent for combining different styles of music, including country, rock, and blues.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "Mexico Americano," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The lyrics, which describe the struggles and joys of being a Mexican-American, are both relatable and uplifting. Other standout tracks include "Ay Te Dejo en San Antonio," a classic Mexican folk song, and "El Pintor," a tribute to the late Tejano singer Selena.

Los Texmaniacs' musicianship is impeccable throughout the album. The accordion and bajo sexto, a Mexican 12-string guitar, are the backbone of the band's sound, and both are played expertly by band leader Max Baca. The rhythm section, consisting of drummer Lorenzo Martinez and bassist Noel Hernandez, provides a solid foundation for the music, and the guest vocalists add an extra layer of depth to the songs.
