Longsword's self-titled album is a triumph of classic heavy metal. The band's influences from the likes of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are evident throughout the album, but Longsword also manages to bring its own unique sound to the table. The guitar riffs are powerful and memorable, and the vocals are strong and commanding. The album is well-produced, with each instrument given ample space to shine. The songs are all well-written and catchy, with highlights including "Riders of the Night" and "The Blade's Dance." Longsword's debut album is sure to please fans of traditional heavy metal and is a promising start for the band's career.
