Review by Stewart Stonedancer

Le Torrent 3, the latest album by the legendary singer Lena Horne, is a captivating masterpiece that showcases her impeccable vocal prowess and musical versatility. The album features a mix of classic jazz standards and contemporary pop songs, all delivered with Horne's signature style and elegance.

From the opening track "Stormy Weather" to the closing number "The Lady is a Tramp," Horne's voice is a force to be reckoned with, effortlessly gliding through each song with grace and precision. Her rendition of "Summertime" is particularly noteworthy, as she infuses the classic tune with a fresh and modern twist.

The album also features several collaborations with other talented musicians, including a duet with the iconic Louis Armstrong on "A Fine Romance." The chemistry between Horne and Armstrong is palpable, and their playful banter adds an extra layer of charm to the track.

Lena Horne (born June 30, 1917, Brooklyn, New York, USA died May 9, 2010, Manhattan, New York, USA) was an American singer, actress, dancer and civil rights activist who, in 1942, became the first African-American performer to be put under contract by a major studio. She fought with first lady Eleanor Roosevelt to pass anti-lynching laws. The combination of Hornes disarming talent and fierce individuality created a powerful force in breaking down racial barriers in Hollywood and beyond.
