Review by Ted Stark

Jelly Roll Blues Black Bottom is an exceptional album that showcases the musical genius of Jelly Roll Morton, DeSylva, Brown, and Henderson. This album features some of the most iconic jazz tunes of the 1920s, including "Black Bottom Stomp," "Jelly Roll Blues," and "King Porter Stomp."

The musicianship is outstanding, with each member of the band bringing their unique style and flair to the table. The rhythm section is tight and groovy, while the horn players add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the sound. The piano playing, in particular, is exceptional, with Morton's virtuosity on full display.

The album is a testament to the talent and creativity of these legendary musicians. Their ability to blend different styles and genres into a cohesive whole is truly remarkable. Listening to this album is like taking a journey through the history of jazz, with each track representing a different era and style.
