It was just recently that I came across this album, and - yes, I agree 99% with Scott. He writes about her voice that it is "a bit rusty and past its time". Well - this is a polite description of her singing in this album. Hence the missing 1%. However, hearing Hawkins and Eldridge backing her up, taking turns in accompanying her and in adding a mid-song chorus or two (also, mostly taking turns, but in some pieces - both), is a pleasure. Thanks to them, I would recommend the album. But listen to it a-little-bit-at-a-time. Don't play it all in one playlist. These blues songs are awfully similar to each another. Enjoy the two giants
