Review by Jacques Lequeux

The album Valses De Strauss by Herbert Von Karajan, Philharmonia Orchestra is a delightful and captivating masterpiece that showcases the brilliance and mastery of classical music. The album features some of the most beautiful and enchanting waltzes composed by the legendary Johann Strauss II, performed with impeccable precision and grace by the Philharmonia Orchestra under the expert guidance of Herbert Von Karajan.

The album opens with the iconic "The Blue Danube" waltz, which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its sweeping melodies and elegant rhythms. The orchestra's performance is flawless, with each instrument blending seamlessly to create a rich and vibrant sound that is both soothing and uplifting.

Other highlights of the album include the charming "Tales from the Vienna Woods" and the lively "Wine, Women, and Song" waltzes, which showcase the orchestra's versatility and range. The album also features a few lesser-known waltzes, such as "Roses from the South" and "Voices of Spring," which are no less enchanting and are sure to delight fans of classical music.
