Review by PPC-Dose India

Hey Baby is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Henry Lee Summer. Released in 1989, the album features ten tracks of classic rock and roll with a touch of blues and country. The album opens with the title track, "Hey Baby," a catchy tune that sets the tone for what's to come. The song features a driving beat, infectious guitar riffs, and Summer's energetic vocals.

The album continues with "I Wish I Had a Girl," a romantic ballad that showcases Summer's soulful voice. The track features a beautiful piano melody and a heartfelt chorus that will tug at your heartstrings. "Hands on the Radio" is another standout track, with its upbeat tempo and catchy chorus.

Summer's love for blues and country music is evident in tracks like "I Know How You Feel" and "Darlin' Danielle Don't." These songs feature twangy guitar riffs and a more laid-back vibe that will have you tapping your feet along.

Cool! I used to make records before I became ill, so that would definitely be a cool one to watch! I've seen tons of clips of Sound City and know its history pretty well. In fact Grohl bought their Neve console and put it in his own home studio. What a thing to have in your "garage!"

Sound City doesn't have wood floors like 99% of all pro studios, but it is LEGENDARY for drums sounds even so. I have "impulses" from its room that I can add to my drums to "put them in that room." It works well!

The Sound City doc is about the legendary recording studio in LA. You'll dig it. Very well done.

I've seen some Grohl doc - can't remember the name though. Liked him as a person. I loved the drummer of Sunny Day Real Estate though so I always thought that whole thing with him was weird. I'd love to hear the original tracks!

I guess I got nothing better to do until I get back to Portland so I may as well watch those....

Thanks - I do think something IS working after 7 years, losing my friend, my home, my business, my everything, this is the 1st treatments that has done anything!

Didn't watch Maiden, watched Pentagram. DAMM YOU! That made my depression so much worse but I toughed it out and got to the end. Man, that last show! I was so glad he made that last show! Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, I agree it was a tough one. But, I think there was that light at the end of the tunnel I was hoping to see. I just watched Dave Grohls 'Sound City' and 'Beware Of Mr Baker'. Both are excellent.

Glad you're getting good health care. I have to depend on the VA currently for mine. They're a bit overrun.

Did you check out 'Early Day's' yet?

It's funny - I hadn't heard this song "Hey Baby" since like 1989 or so, now I hear it every single time I respond to you. I find it going through my head sometimes now! I used to think he said "Hey Baby! I'm HARD! Wanna wrap my arms around you, Hey Baby, I'm sooo bored.. something something...." HAHAHA! Now that I see the context and his lips moving I get it more. I LOVE Sabbath - last band had a lot of Sabbath influences...

I'm in Utah getting med treatments now - they're actually working...

I hadn't heard Pentagram either. I'd just heard it was a good doc. And it is. If you like Sabbath, you'll like Pentagram. I became a fan after watching it. Sorry to hear of your health problems.

Screaming For Vengeance picture disc! YEAH! How much did that put you back?

I had never heard of "The Early Days" til now - will def check it out - thanks! Watched all those docs from that one producer of flight 666 - fun docs to watch. Got hooked on the Anvil doc after that and watched that maybe 10 times. They really get in you. You want them to succeed so bad but though they have no idea what they're doing biz-wize. Hope they're able to quit their day jobs by now. I feared it was a short fad

You can find that picture disc on Ebay for about $18-$24. It's sweet as fuck.

That Early Days DVD will quickly become a favorite. There is a show on there from the 'Beast' tour from Hammersmith that will completely BLOW YOU AWAY. Seriously. I also enjoyed that Anvil DVD. I think that gave them some short term popularity, and a few opening slots for major bands, but I'd wager it wasn't enough to get them rolling in the dough.

Have you seen 'Last Days Here'? It's about the singer from Pentagram

Can't really afford to spend $20 on a pic disc if I already have the music, unfortunately. (became chronically ill 7 years ago & all money goes to docs. God bless America or something like that.) Downloaded Early Days last night - should watch tonight, Yeah, I doubt Anvil will ever roll in the dough, but how about just enough to pay their rent and eat PB&J's? Is that too much to ask for a band so committed to rock that they've never quit in what, 30-something years? Don't know Pentagram's music

I saw my 16th Maiden show last summer. Big fan. 'Flight 666' was quite the amazing doc. It's incredible how many (and how crazed) fans they have worldwide. If you've never seen it, you should check out 'The Early Days' DVD. Some badass early shows, and a cool doc to boot.

I just picked up the 'Screaming' picture disc on vinyl. Most excellent.

They played Maiden on the radio in my town! The Trooper but mainly Flight of Icarus. Bought Maiden just for that song and never looked back! Some of my favorite documentaries are the newer ones of them on tour with Bruce flying the 747 around the world, and the metal one by the same guy where they feature them extensively. Such cool dudes. Kinda the Monthy Python of metal in a small way!

Got Screaming For Vengeance around the same time. Loved it just as much but for different reasons...
