Hands - Abbracadaver

Abbracadaver, the third studio album by the American rock band Hands, is a masterful work of art. The album, released in 2011, showcases the band's unique blend of post-hardcore, progressive rock, and experimental music. The album features ten tracks, each of which is a testament to the band's creativity and musical prowess.

From the opening track, "The Helix," the listener is transported to a world of intricate melodies and complex rhythms. The song features a soaring chorus and a driving rhythm section that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Other standout tracks include "The Heavens and the Earth," which features a hauntingly beautiful vocal performance by lead singer Shane Ochsner, and "The Least of These," which is a frenzied and chaotic track that showcases the band's ability to blend different genres seamlessly.

One of the most impressive aspects of Abbracadaver is the way the band incorporates different instruments and sounds into their music. From the use of brass instruments in "Of the Flesh" to the electronic elements in "The Jovian," the album is a true testament to the band's experimental spirit.

About Hands

Hands was an American progressive rock band from Texas who existed from 1977-1980 and became known through a couple of archival releases of their recordings several decades later. Due to the overwhelming positive response that these archival releases received, the main members of the band reformed and have put out several albums since. Because the members actually are from the heyday of progressive rock, you can hear classic-era influences in their over-all sound such as Happy The Man, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Kansas, etc... but these are their roots and they definitely make original progressive rock music.

Any chance of finding and posting the other bonus track "Hands In The Fire"? I'm very curious now, having learned of the two extra tracks to the album Hands

I bought this 45 with the flipside abra-cadaver at a Richardson record store on Coit Road in 1979. I think the players are Michael clay keyboards John Russo drums Steve Parker Bass, I don't remember the others. 5 years earlier 1974 these guys played RL Turner High School dance as Ibis. They performed Edgar Winters keep playing that rock and roll, Mark almonds the city, hope by the mahavishnu orchestra gamma spirits I got a line on you amongst others. They had a sax player at that time named sunny. A lot of teenagers couldn't dance to some of their Progressive music. I always tell these guys in high regards as musicians. Glad to see that this was posted up here. Thank you, can you post abracadavre? Long Live Farmers Branch Texas

Hang onto that 45 its hella rare! I produced several CD's of music by this amazing band. The song here is actually Castle Keep, which was remastered and released as a bonus track on the first Hands CD I did in 1996.
