Review by Søren Tagmose

Messiah by Handel, conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham, Bart, CH is a masterpiece of classical music that has stood the test of time. The album features the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, along with the Beecham Choral Society, delivering a powerful and emotional performance of Handel's iconic work.

The album opens with the triumphant "Overture" that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The orchestral arrangements are impeccable, and the choral performances are awe-inspiring. The soloists, including soprano Jennifer Vyvyan, contralto Monica Sinclair, tenor Frederick Jackson, and bass Tom Krause, deliver stunning performances that add depth and emotion to the music.

The album's highlights include the uplifting "For Unto Us a Child is Born," the hauntingly beautiful "He Was Despised," and the majestic "Hallelujah Chorus." Sir Thomas Beecham's masterful conducting brings out the best in each piece, and the recording quality is excellent, making it easy to appreciate the intricate details of the music.
