Rumble? Billy Boyd was Jerry Cole of" Champs" fame
aka Jerry Cole guitarist extraordinaire ?
Billy Boyd is a pseudonym of Wrecking Crew session guitar player Jerry Cole (Jerald Kolbrak) who also played in The Champs with Glenn Campbell. The two recorded a song called 'Buzzsaw Twist' as the Gee Cees. Crown Records was a budget label subsidiary of Modern Records and Cole would organize "fake" bands and write music to accompany albums covers of popular songs in different genres.
I love this album. My copy is pretty worn, so I appreciate your posting this!
I actually had this on vinyl when I was a kid. Played it over and over. Loved the smooth sounds.
