Review by Ярослав Нечаєв

Eddie Fontaine's album "Rock With Me" is a nostalgic journey back to the early days of rock and roll. The album features 12 tracks that are sure to get listeners tapping their feet and singing along. Fontaine's smooth vocals are the highlight of the album, and he effortlessly navigates through the upbeat and energetic tracks.

The album begins with the title track "Rock With Me," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The catchy chorus and Fontaine's vocals make it a standout track. Other notable tracks include "Nothin' Shakin' (But The Leaves On The Trees)" and "Cool It Baby," which showcase Fontaine's range and versatility.

The album also features a few slower tracks, such as "Ain't That A Shame" and "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter," which add some variety to the album. The instrumentation is solid throughout, with guitar and piano riffs that perfectly complement Fontaine's vocals.

Seems as if everyone knows the Beatles rendition of this great tune, but my favorite is still Dr. Feelgood's! The hell with Clapton, Wilko Johnson is GOD!

As a German (Saxon), I always enjoy listening to this song on the Swiss radio station "Radio 32 Goldies" when I am sitting on the computer ... It makes my job twice as fun! Very cool music!

Greetings from Saxony to everyone who doesn't want to contradict me ... ;-)

Too bad this song did poorly on Billboard. Late 1958.

Sorry Beatles. As a huge fan, I gotta admit their version isn't as good as the original, which had the great George Barnes on lead guitar. If you don't who he is and why he's important, google him :)
