Review by Sofyan Rachman

Deprived's latest album, Reject The Illusion Class War Now, is a powerful statement of resistance against the oppression and inequality that exists in society. The band's raw and intense sound is matched by their uncompromising lyrics, which tackle issues such as poverty, police brutality, and the struggles of the working class.

From the opening track, "Rise Up," Deprived establishes their message of defiance and solidarity with the marginalized. The album's standout tracks include "No Justice No Peace," a scathing critique of the police state, and "Revolution Now," a call to arms for those who have been silenced and oppressed.

Throughout the album, Deprived's musicianship is top-notch, with blistering guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals that will make you want to mosh and scream along. The band's energy and passion shine through on every track, making Reject The Illusion Class War Now an essential listen for anyone who believes in the power of music to inspire change.

Notes

  • Came with a fold-out poster.
  • This is the second pressing, issued in 1994. The difference between the first and second pressing is the cover...the first pressing has a smaller, white-bordered photo superimposed on the larger photo on the cover. On the second pressing this smaller photo is removed. Also, the second pressing covers were printed on glossier paper and the 11" X 17" poster insert is only one sided: the first pressing version of the poster insert features a collage of band members on one side and the rock-throwing-protester on the other side.
  • Recorded February 1991.
  • Also on Blue vinyl
  • Came with a fold-out poster, also the fold-out sleeve is printed on the inside.
  • This version (blue vinyl), with this picture sleeve (smaller, white border car superimposed over the larger cover image) is the first pressing. The first pressing of 500 consisted of 100 black vinyl copies, 200 red vinyl copies, and 300 blue vinyl copies. The first pressing also was printed on matte paper (the second pressing was printed on glossier paper), and features a band collage on one side of the two - sided poster insert (the second pressing also included the 11" X 17" poster insert, but it was only one sided: the band collage was removed, and only the side with the rock-throwing-protester was printed).
