This double-CD compilation is a pretty good one. It sounds great and serves as a nice introduction to David Bowie. Most of his popular songs along with a few lesser known tracks are set in chronological order. The first disc spans a ten year period, from 1969 to 1979. While disc two covers material from 1980 to 2002. Overall, there is a good mix of the iconic singer's ever changing sound. There's no doubt that Bowie was at his best during his first decade as a performer. For that reason, Disc 1 will be played more by most listeners. However, the second half is every bit as interesting if not as satisfying.
