I had the experience of briefly playing bass in his band with some English musicians in Switzerland after all his fame had faded in the late 60's. He was trying to make a comeback based on his "hits". Well,...that didn't work out very well,...at all. At that time, he was going by the name Casey Jones and the Engineers. In that brief attempt, we were living large in Zurich at a hotel, eating all our meals in the hotel restaurant, racking a huge tab for five people. It was pretty obvious that we were not going to be able to pay the tab, so,....we, the musicians, exited the hotel without paying our extensive tab. We all went our own ways. They went back to England, and I continued my travels thru Europe. I never heard of him again. The lead guitar player went by the name Gypsy Moth. We stayed in touch for a short while, exchanged some photos, but, as life goes,....you know,...that was a long time ago.
