Died November, 7, 2020 in New York, USA. He started his career as a percussionist for various groups in Havana, performing at the nightclubs and radio stations. He moved to New York in 1946 and started recording with and . During 1953-1954 he was in the quartet and in 1954 he performed and recorded with . This Shep Pettibone remix you have posted is 7.48 mins. But the 1983 Shep Pettibone remix was 7.22 (https://www.discogs.com/Candido-Jingo/release/983174 - and as you show in your photo too). This was a big Tune back in the day played in Raquel's Basildon Essex England in 1979, fantastic tune people packed the dance floor walking up and down the dance floor bending as they went Fantastic and I had the privilege to be there back then
