Comments
I know that I'm going to be the bad one on this but - his approach was too driven . Like everything else in this country.
JAZZ GOD. PERIOD
Best jazz big band drummer, but completely intolerant of other styles of music
A lot of these guys played in my band in NYC. Miss Andy. Buddy is a mesmerizing drummer.
Dave Stahl putting the capper on it at the end. One of Buddy's best and favorite lead players.
I mean he fucking ruled
?
MY GOD THAT LEFT HAND.
SONG RULES!!!!!!!!
THAT LEFT HAND. COME ON. GOD HIS DRUMS SOUND GREAT HERE
The only drummer who was ever equal to Buddy Rich was Buddy Rich. As another drummer, Buddy Rich will always be a legend and my idol. RIP Mr. Rich
My back hurts just watching Buddy Rich play; the man was drum genius , but had possibly THE worst posture I've ever seen on the drum set.
Wow! Buddy was the best drummer. Second to none. That's saying something.
A piece CAN be played too fast. Listen to Dave Weckl‘s interpretation of this piecs on „Burning For Buddy“. It is one of my all-time favourite recordings. Dave in his young days was to my opinion not a hair worse than the master.
God
Who plays the tenor solo?
This music sucks ! Don't know how people enjoy this noise. Sounds like being lost in a crowd of people.
I’m the real Buddy Rich and I’m not dead?????????

Mike Smith from Chicago on lead alto i believe. He as teacher of mine. Wonderful guy.
