Review by Manolo Balmelli

Betty Johnson's album "Ginny's Got A Phone Betty's Bossa Nova" is a delightful collection of songs that showcase her impressive vocal range and versatility. From the upbeat and catchy "Ginny's Got A Phone" to the sultry "Bossa Nova Baby," Johnson effortlessly navigates through a variety of musical styles and moods.

The arrangements are expertly crafted, with lush instrumentation and intricate harmonies that perfectly complement Johnson's vocals. Standout tracks include the dreamy "Moon River" and the romantic "The Shadow Of Your Smile," both of which showcase Johnson's ability to convey emotion with her voice.

i remember hearing this during the variety club telethon in buffalo. Does anyone know if was sung by Betty Johnson or by someone else?

Much later than 1958; top 10 in Buffalo in winter 1963, although it did not hit the national Hot 100. Betty's big hit in 1958 was "The Little Blue Man"

I used to have the 45. My grandma heard this song on the radio and thought it was cute. It reminded her of me when I was a little girl. And I used to have a toy phone that was bright orange plastic. She bought me the 45 in 1962 or '63 & I played it on a child's turquoise & white phonograph player with gold flecks. So 50s! That would fetch a huge price tag on eBay!. But my mother usually gave old play things to charity. Part of me wishes I had that old phonograph player, though it might have stopped working. It played 45 rpm and 33 1/3 records! If you're a boomer you know what I'm talking about!
