Turkish rock singer, song writer and tv host (b. 2 January 1943, Istanbul - d. 1 February 1999). His mother Rikkat Uyanık was a famous Turkish singer in the 40s. Living in Paris during the 60s, he started a band . Considered one of the most influential pop artists of Turkey. Founder member of the band . Barış Manço died suddenly of a heart attack in 1999.
